50/50 Hybrid Polyester Epoxy Resin with Low Temperature Curing at 160°C

◎Introduction

HH2562A is a saturated polyester resin, the tin-free version of HH2562. Mainly used for 50/50 polyester/epoxy hybrid powder coatings, which can achieve low temperature curing at 160°C.
Epoxy polyester hybrid powder coating is mainly composed of hydroxyl terminated polyester resin and epoxy resin. The two resins are curing agents for each other. This powder coating takes into account the anti-corrosion performance of epoxy resin and the weather resistance of polyester resin. It is commonly used in the coating of indoor household appliances and the surface coating of electrical instruments and switch cabinets.
Models with an A indicate that this polyester resin is tin-free, which is mainly prepared by using tin-free catalysts.
Organotin catalysts have high activity and are currently commonly used as catalysts for polyesters used in general powder coatings. However, there have been many non-industrial organotin poisoning incidents in recent years, which has aroused the concern of all parties on the toxicity of organotin. At present, organotin compounds have been identified as endocrine disruptors and important persistent toxic substances.
Therefore, many countries and regions, as well as some international well-known brands, require that the finished powder coating be free of tin. HH2562A is completely free of tin, can meet the needs.
